Our main goal as a club is to be able to include everyone, no matter their level or financial background. We know that snow sports can be a very costly endeavor, which is why we have partnered up with Big Bear Mountain Resorts and Green room to make our financial aid program in which the most significant costs, lift tickets and rentals will be almost entirely paid for. This means that you can enjoy an entire day in the mountain for less than $40 total! If this is something that you would be interested in, please message us on instagram at @losalsnow . This is completely confidential, so nobody will know if you need financial aid or not. See you on the slopes!

The Losal Snow Sports Organization's mission is to unite individuals through the exhilaration of snow sports while actively dismantling socioeconomic barriers. Our commitment to inclusivity ensures that everyone, regardless of their financial background, can access and revel in the world of snow sports. We foster a close-knit community, offer educational opportunities for skill development, advocate for diversity in winter sports, and promote environmental stewardship. By embracing these principles, we aim to create unforgettable mountain experiences while breaking down barriers and making snow sports accessible to all, forging a path to unity, adventure, and equality in the snow sports community.
How We Started
Founded by Adam Kogen, Losal Snow had its beginnings in December 2022 when an idea was conceived. In just one week, the necessary paperwork was quickly handled to officially establish the first chapter at LAHS. Before the end of the first semester, the inaugural meeting was convened, and a commitment was made to create a club where snow sports could be enjoyed by all. During the winter break, plans were carefully laid out for the first trip set for February. In the early days, the org's founder, Adam, even went to school dressed in ski clothes to distribute flyers, marking the initiation of our marketing efforts. This collective enthusiasm and dedication marked the start of the Losal Snow, offering an accessible and exciting snow sports experience for everyone.
Where We Are Now
In our first semester, Losal Snow wasted no time in hitting the slopes, organizing over seven days of exhilarating trips. We're proud to announce exciting partnerships with Big Bear Mountain Resort (BBMR) and the Green Room, as we work together to make snow sports accessible to the entire high school community. Looking ahead, our ambitions soar higher as we plan an upcoming adventure to Mammoth in November. With a commitment to inclusivity and enthusiasm, we aspire to extend our reach to more schools in the future, ensuring that the thrill of snow sports becomes a shared experience for an even broader community of students.
